We’re excited to welcome the next cohort of our Apprenticeship Programme, starting 3rd September 2026. Our Scotland East division (located in Livingston) is now recruiting for an Architectural Apprentice.

Your Role

You’ll work in our Technical team and learn to:

  • Develop & Maintain Group Standard House types, details and specifications
  • Work alongside external consultants and suppliers to ensure a complete design solution is delivered
  • Upkeep our Drawing Management system
  • Support divisions with information requests
  • Attend site-based meetings/audit as and when required
  • Keep up to date with responsibilities specific to the role
  • Maintain up to date with legislation and regulations, as well as have an understanding of future regulations that are coming into effect within the industry

Your Package

  • Starting salary: £22,000. Increases will be awarded from 6 months in line with performance milestones.

What We’re Looking For 

  • One Higher in a relevant subject, e.g. Maths, English, Graphic Communication, or a Science subject
  • Three or four National 5s (one must be Maths)
  • Previous Construction/trade craft experience
  • Willingness to travel and stay away from home occasionally
  • Flexible and eager to learn
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK, as this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. You will therefore be asked to complete an eligibility check during the recruitment process

  2. Video Interview:  successful applicants will be invited to complete a video interview. This is a one-way video interview that you can record in your own time. 
  1. Assessment Centre: the final stage in the process is a half-day virtual assessment centre where you will complete a presentation, team activity and competency-based interview. 

About the Apprenticeship

Qualification

  • Level 6 SVQ Built Environment Design

Training

Your training will be delivered by Fife College. This will be delivered on a day-release model where you will attend Fife College, in-person, on one day per week. Fife College is located Calaiswood Crescent, Dunfermline, KY11 8SJ.

  • Up to 24 months
