We’re excited to welcome the next cohort of our Apprenticeship Programme, starting 3rd September 2026. We are recruiting for Apprentice Bricklayers in the North West division – Liverpool.
Your Role
You’ll work in our Construction team and learn to:
- Assist with building or repairing brickwork in accordance with building plans
- Ensure the provision of safe, efficient and cost-effective works at all times
- Analyse and interpret building drawings and specifications
- Maintain structures, walls and foundations using various types of bricks
- Cut and trim bricks using hand and power tools
- Receive and complete work orders delegated by site management and assist in delivering them to the required timescales
- Restore, clean, or paint existing brick structures
- Solve problems with the use of various materials and methods
- Work effectively as part of a team and with other trades

Your Package
- Hourly pay rate of £8.87. Increases will be awarded from 6 months in line with performance milestones.

What We’re Looking For
- GCSE Maths & English (Grade 4/C+), or willingness to complete Level 2 functional skills
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home occasionally, in line with the block-release commitments for your apprenticeship
- Ability to travel to multiple sites within your division as required
- Flexible and eager to learn
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK, as this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. You will therefore be asked to complete an eligibility check during the recruitment process

About the Apprenticeship
Qualification
- Level 2 Bricklayer
Training
Your training will be delivered by NHBC at their dedicated training hubs, using a block release model.
- Lichfield Hub: Lakes, Curborough, Ivison Wy, Curborough, Lichfield, WS13 8ES
- Barking Hub: NHBC Training Hub, River Road, Barking, IG11 0EQ*
*Please note there might be a slight postcode change once the hub is fully built and opened.
Depending on your allocated hub, you’ll typically stay away from home for 1–2 weeks every 12 weeks. All travel and accommodation will be organised and funded by Bellway.
Duration
- 18 months, plus End Point Assessment
Location
You will begin your apprenticeship on-site at the location listed alongside your chosen division. While we aim to allocate you to the location nearest to your home, you will be expected to attend additional sites within the area as part of your role. It is important that you are able to travel as needed to fulfil these requirements.
